Abu Hurairah reported,

I was walking with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ through a palm grove belonging to some of the people of Madinah when he said, "Abu Hurayrah, those who have much are ruined, except for those who give like this, like this, and like this," three times, gesturing with his hands to his right, his left, and in front of him, "and how few they are."Then he walked on for a while and said, "Abu Hurayrah, shall I guide you to one of the treasures of Paradise?"I replied, "Yes, Messenger of Allah."He said, "There is no power and no strength except through Allah, and there is no refuge from Allah except in Him."Then he walked on for a while and said, "Abu Hurayrah, do you know what the right of people upon Allah is, and what the right of Allah upon people is?"I answered, "Allah and His Messenger know best."He said, "The right of Allah upon people is that they worship Him and associate nothing with Him. When they do that, it becomes His right not to punish them."
