Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

Abbas was traveling alongside the Prophet ﷺ on a camel that had been branded on its face with fire.The Prophet ﷺ asked, "What is this brand, Abbas?"Abbas replied, "It is a brand we used to mark our camels with in the days of ignorance."He said, "Do not brand with fire."

عن ابن عباس قال

كان العباس يسير مع النبي ﷺ على بعير قد وسمه في وجهه بالنار، فقال: ما هذا الميسم يا عباس؟ قال: ميسم كنا نسمه في الجاهلية فقال: لا تسموا بالحريق.
