The Prophet ﷺ forbade flicking pebbles and said, "It does not bring down game, nor does it wound an enemy, but it can put out an eye and break a tooth."
نهى النبي ﷺ عن الخذف، وقال: إنه لا يقتل الصيد، ولا ينكأ العدو، وإنه يفقأ العين، ويكسر السن.
Bukhari narrated it in Al-Adab (6220), and Muslim in Al-Sayd wal-Dhabaih (1954:55), both through Shuba, from Qatada, who said, "I heard Uqba bin Sahban Azdi narrate from Abdullah bin Mughafal Muzani," and he mentioned it.
