Ubayy said, "I never heard the Prophet ﷺ mention both of his parents together as a ransom for anyone except Saad bin Malik. I heard him say on the day of Uhud, 'Saad, shoot! May my father and mother be your ransom.'"
ما سمعت النبي ﷺ جمع أبويه لأحد إلا لسعد بن مالك، فإني سمعته يقول يوم أحد: يا سعد! ارم فداك أبي وأمي.
Bukhari narrated it in "The Battles" (4059), and Muslim narrated it in "The Virtues of the Companions" (2411), both of them through Saad bin Ibrahim, from Abdullah bin Shaddad, from Ali, and he related it.
