We were with the Prophet ﷺ at a meal to which we had been invited. The foreleg was presented to him, as it was the cut he liked best, and he tore off a bite from it.
كنا مع النبي ﷺ في دعوة، فرفع إليه الذراع، وكانت تعجبه فنهس منها نهسة.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of the Prophets (3340), and Muslim in the Book of Faith (194), both from the hadith of Abu Hayan, from Abu Zura, from Abu Hurairah, who related it as part of a long hadith, and it has been documented in its proper place.His saying, "he tore off a bite of it," means he took the meat off the bone with his mouth.
