Ahmad narrated it through three routes (26958, 26959), from Hasan bin Musa Ashyab, and from Qutayba bin Saeed, and from Itaab bin Ziyad Khurasani, who said, Abdullah bin Mubarak told us, all three of them from Ibn Lahia, who said, Aqeel bin Khalid told us, from Ibn Shihab, from Urwa, from Asma bint Abu Bakr, and he related it. Its chain is hasan because of Ibn Lahia, about whom there is well-known discussion, but the narration of Qutayba bin Saeed and Abdullah bin Mubarak from him is sound.It has also been corroborated. Ibn Hibban narrated it (5207), as did Tabarani (24/84-85), and Hakim (4/118), all of them through the route of Ibn Wahb, who said, Qurra bin Abdul-Rahman Maafiri told me, from Ibn Shihab, from Urwa bin Zubayr, from Asma bint Abu Bakr, and she related something similar.Qurra bin Abdul-Rahman has slight daif in him, and his hadith is hasan when he does not contradict others, and nothing has come in his narration that would be rejected against him, and he is among the men of Muslim. Haythami said in Majma (5/19), "Tabarani narrated it, and in it is Qurra bin Abdul-Rahman, whom Ibn Hibban and others deemed reliable, while Ibn Main and others deemed him daif, and the rest of its men are the men of the Sahih."Hakim said, "This is a sahih hadith according to the standard of Muslim as a corroborating witness, though the two of them did not include it." He also said, "It has an explanatory corroborating witness from the hadith of Muhammad bin Ubaydullah Arzami." He then narrated it with his chain from him, saying, my father told me, from Ataa, from Jabir, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Let hot food cool before eating it, for hot food carries no blessing."This Muhammad bin Ubaydullah bin Abu Sulayman Arzami is matruk (abandoned as a narrator).
