Abdullah bin Umar reported,

Ali said, "There was a time, or he said a period, when none of us considered himself more entitled to his dinar and dirham than his Muslim brother. Now, however, the dinar and the dirham are dearer to one of us than his Muslim brother. I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, 'How many a neighbor will cling to his neighbor on the Day of Resurrection, saying, My Lord, this man shut his door against me and withheld his kindness from me.'"
