The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best of companions in the sight of Allah is the one who is best to his companion, and the best of neighbors in the sight of Allah is the one who is best to his neighbor."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: خير الأصحاب عند الله خيرهم لصاحبه، وخير الجيران عند الله خيرهم لجاره.
Tirmidhi (1944), Ahmad (6566), and Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad (115) narrated it, and Ibn Khuzayma (2539) and Ibn Hibban (518) and Hakim (1/443) graded it sahih, all of them through the hadith of Haywa bin Shurayh, from Shurayh bin Sharik, from Abu Abdul-Rahman Hubli, from Abdullah bin Amr, who said, then he mentioned it.Tirmidhi said, "Hasan gharib, and Abu Abdul-Rahman Hubli's name is Abdullah bin Yazid." Hakim said, "Sahih according to the criterion of the two Shaykhs." Its chain is hasan because of Shurahbil bin Sharik, who is Maafiri, whose hadith is hasan, and he is among the narrators used solely by Muslim.
