I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Jibreel kept urging me to be good to the neighbor until I thought he would make him an heir."
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: ما زال جبريل يوصيني بالجار، حتى ظننت أنه ليورثنه.
Bukhari narrated it in al-Adab (6014), and Muslim in al-Birr wa al-Silah (2624), both through chains from Yahya bin Saeed Ansari, who said, Abu Bakr bin Muhammad bin Amr bin Hazm told me, from Amrah, from Ayesha, who mentioned it.
