The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The womb-tie is suspended from the Throne, saying, 'Whoever maintains me, Allah will maintain him, and whoever severs me, Allah will sever him.'"
قال رسول الله ﷺ: الرحم معلقة بالعرش تقول من وصلني وصله الله، ومن قطعني قطعه الله.
Bukhari narrated it in al-Adab (5989), and Muslim narrated it in al-Birr wa al-Sila (2555) — and this is his wording — both through routes from Muawiya bin Abu Muzarrid, from Yazid bin Ruman, from Urwa, from Ayesha, who said, and then she mentioned it.
