A man said, "Messenger of Allah, tell me of a deed that will admit me to Paradise."The people remarked, "What is the matter with him? What is the matter with him?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He has a need."Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, establish the prayer, pay the zakat, and maintain ties of kinship. Let it go."The narrator said, it seemed as though he had been on his mount.
Bukhari narrated it in al-Adab (5983), and Muslim in al-Iman (13:13), both from the hadith of Bahz, who said, Shuba narrated to us, Muhammad bin Uthman bin Abdullah bin Mawhab and his father narrated to us, that they both heard Musa bin Talha narrating from Abu Ayub, and he related it. The wording is Bukhari's, and Muslim did not mention his own wording, but rather referred back to the hadith before it.
