Abu Umama reported,
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No servant loves another servant for the sake of Allah without his Lord 
honoring him."

Ahmad narrated it (22229) from Ibrahim bin Mahdi, who said, Ismail bin Ayyash told us, from Yahya bin Harith, from Qasim, from Abu Umama, and he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Ismail bin Ayyash Himsi, for his hadith is hasan when he narrates from the people of his own land, and his teacher here is Yahya bin Harith Dhamari Shami.His statement, "his Lord honored him," means He glorified him because he was the most beloved of His servants.
