A beggar came asking for something, and Ayesha instructed the servant to bring something out for him.The Prophet ﷺ said to her, "Ayesha, do not count what you give, lest Allah count what He gives you."
أن سائلا سأل قالت: فأمرت الخادم فأخرج له شيئا قالت: فقال النبي ﷺ لها: يا عائشة لا تحصي فيحصي الله عليك.
Ahmad (24418), Ibn Hibban (3365), and Abu Yaala (4463) all narrated it from the hadith of Ibn Idris, from Amash, from Hakam, from Urwa, from Ayesha, as I have mentioned it. Its isnad is sahih. The hadith has other chains of transmission, as I have mentioned in the book on zakat and charity.
