A companion of mine and I went in to see a man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ called Usayr. He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Modesty brings nothing but good.'"
دخلت أنا وصاحب لي على رجل من أصحاب النبي ﷺ يقال له: أسير فقال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: الحياء لا يأتي إلا بخير.

Reported by Abu Yaala in Matalib Aliyah (2627), and from his route Diya in al-Mukhtarah (4/297), and Abu Naeem in Marifat al-Sahabah (1078), both from the route of Muhammad bin Yahya bin Abu Sumaynah, who said, Yahya bin Hammad narrated to us, who said, Abu Awana narrated to us, who said, Dawud bin Abdullah Awdi narrated to us, from Humayd bin Abdul-Rahman, who said, then he mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Muhammad bin Yahya bin Abu Sumaynah, for he is hasan al-hadith.
