The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was more bashful than a virgin in her chamber, and whenever something displeased him, we could recognize it in his face.
كان رسول الله ﷺ أشد حياء من العذراء في خدرها، وكان إذا كره شيئا عرفناه في وجهه.
Bukhari narrated it in his chapter on manners (6102), and Muslim in his chapter on virtues (2320), both through Shuba, from Qatada, who said, I heard Abdullah bin Abu Utba, the freed slave of Anas, say, I heard Abu Saeed Khudri say... and he related it.
