I was in a gathering with the Prophet ﷺ, and my father Samura was sitting in front of me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indecency and obscene speech have no place in Islam, and the best of people in Islam are those with the finest character."
كنت في مجلس فيه النبي ﷺ قال: وأبي سمرة جالس أمامي فقال رسول الله ﷺ: إن الفحش والتفحش ليسا من الإسلام، وإن أحسن الناس إسلاما أحسنهم خلقا.
Ahmad (20831) and Abu Yaala (7468) both narrated it through Abu Usama, from Zakariya bin Siyah Abu Yahya, from Imran bin Rabah, from Ali bin Amara, from Jabir bin Samura, who said, then he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Ali bin Amara, from whom a group of narrators transmitted. Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators, and no criticism of him is found. His hadith has sahih foundations, so his hadith is graded hasan on that basis.
