The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Shall I not tell you who among you is most beloved to me and who will be seated nearest to me on the Day of Resurrection?"The people remained silent, so he repeated it two or three times.The people then said, "Yes, Messenger of Allah."He said, "The one with the best character among you."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: ألا أخبركم بأحبكم إلي وأقربكم مني مجلسا يوم القيامة؟ فسكت القوم فأعادها مرتين أو ثلاثا قال القوم: نعم يا رسول الله، قال: أحسنكم خلقا.
Ahmad (6735) and Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad (272) both narrated it through Yazid bin Abdullah bin Had, from Amr bin Shuayb, from his father, from his grandfather, and he related it. Its chain is hasan because of Amr bin Shuayb, for his hadith is hasan.
