The Prophet ﷺ said, "For the accustomed security of the Quraysh, their accustomed security in the journey of winter and summer" [Quraysh 106:1–2]. Woe to you, Quraysh, worship the Lord of this House, who fed you against hunger and gave you security against fear.
عن النبي ﷺ قال: {الإيلاف قريش إلفهم رحلة الشتاء والصيف}، ويحكم يا قريش، اعبدوا رب هذا البيت الذي أطعمكم من جوع، وآمنكم من خوف.
Ahmad (27607), Tabarani in his Mujam al-Kabir (24/177–178), Ibn Jareer in his tafsir (24/647), and Hakim (2/256) all narrated it through various chains from Shahr bin Hawshab, from Asma bint Yazid, and he mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of the discussion surrounding Shahr bin Hawshab, though his hadith is hasan as long as there is no objectionable content in it.Hakim said, "This is a rare hadith with a high chain on this topic, and the two sheikhs do not rely on Shahr bin Hawshab."That is as he said, because there is disagreement about him, as I have explained, though in my view his hadith is hasan as long as he does not narrate anything objectionable, and his error has not been established.
