I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The sun will draw near to the earth, and people will sweat. Some will sweat up to their ankles, some up to the middle of their shins, some up to their knees, some up to their buttocks, some up to their waists, some up to their necks, and some up to the middle of their mouths." He gestured with his hand, placing it like a bridle across his mouth. The narrator said, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gesture like this. "And some will be completely covered by their sweat," and he struck with his hand to indicate it.
Tabarani narrated it in Al-Kabir (17/302), Ibn Hibban (7329, and the wording is his), and Hakim (4/571), all through routes from Ibn Wahb, who said, "Amr bin Harith informed me that Abu Ashana told him that he heard Uqba bin Amir say," and then he mentioned it. Its chain is sahih. Hakim said, "This is a hadith with a sahih chain."
