The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is not one of you but has two dwellings, a dwelling in Paradise and a dwelling in the Hellfire. When he dies and enters the Hellfire, the people of Paradise inherit his dwelling. That is the meaning of His statement, "It is they who are the inheritors" [Muminun 23:10]."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: ما منكم من أحد إلا له منزلان: منزل في الجنة ومنزل في النار. فإذا مات فدخل النار، ورث أهل الجنة منزله فذلك قوله تعالى: {أوليك هم الورثون} [سورة المؤمنون: ١٠].
Ibn Majah (4341), Bayhaqi in Shuab al-Iman (373), and Ibn Abu Hatim as mentioned by Ibn Kathir in his Tafsir (5/464) all narrated it through the route of Abu Muawiya, from Amash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah, who said, and then mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.
