Sahl bin Saad reported,

We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Dhul-Hulayfah when he came upon a dead sheep with its leg raised in the air. He said, "Do you think this carcass is worthless to its owner? By the One in whose hand my soul rests, this world is more insignificant to Allah than this carcass is to its owner. If this world were worth even a mosquito's wing to Allah, He would not give a disbeliever a single drop of water from it."

His saying, "And were it not that mankind would become one community, We would have made for those who disbelieve in the Most Merciful, for their houses, ceilings of silver and stairways upon which they mount, and for their houses doors and couches upon which they recline, and gold ornament. But all that is nothing but the enjoyment of worldly life, and the Hereafter with your Lord is for the righteous"
