I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever wishes for his provision to be expanded or his lifespan to be extended, let him maintain ties with his relatives."
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول:- من سره أن يبسط له رزقه أو ينسأ له في أثره، فليصل رحمه.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Transactions (2067), and Muslim in the Book of Righteousness, Kinship, and Manners (2557), both through Yunus, who said, Ibn Shihab narrated to us, from Anas bin Malik, who said, and then he mentioned it.The meaning is that the length or shortness of one's life, whether with a cause or without one, all of it is known and recorded with Allah.
