The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The keys of the unseen are five, which none knows except Allah. No one knows what will happen tomorrow, no one knows what is in the wombs, no soul knows what it will earn tomorrow, no soul knows in what land it will die, and no one knows when the rain will come."
Bukhari related it in the Book of Eclipses (1039) from Muhammad bin Yusuf, who said, Sufyan narrated to us, from Abdullah bin Dinar, from Ibn Umar, and he mentioned it.His saying, "in the wombs," is not limited to knowing whether the child is male or female in the womb, but rather encompasses all stages of the child's life, whether he will be happy or wretched, wealthy or poor, and the like. And His saying, "No one's life is prolonged, nor is it shortened, except it is in a record" [Fatir 35:11].
