Anas bin Malik reported,

A woman came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ offering herself to him. She said, "Messenger of Allah, do you have any need of me?"The daughter of Anas remarked, "How little modesty she has. How shameful."Anas replied, "She is better than you. She desired the Prophet ﷺ and so offered herself to him."

His saying, "O Prophet, indeed We have made lawful to you your wives to whom you have given their due compensation and those your right hand possesses from what Allah has returned to you, and the daughters of your paternal uncles and the daughters of your paternal aunts and the daughters of your maternal uncles and the daughters of your maternal aunts who emigrated with you, and a believing woman if she gives herself to the Prophet, if the Prophet wishes to marry her, exclusively for you, not for the believers. We certainly know what We have imposed upon them concerning their wives and those their right hands possess, in order that there will be no discomfort upon you. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful." A woman giving herself without a dowry was exclusive to the Prophet ﷺ, and it is not permissible for a woman to give herself without a dowry to anyone other than the Prophet ﷺ
