A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, I have a daughter who is such and such," mentioning her beauty and loveliness, "and I have chosen you for her."He said, "I accept her."She kept on praising her until she mentioned that the girl had never suffered a headache or complained of any ailment. He said, "I have no need for your daughter."
Ahmad (12580) and Abu Yaala (4234) both narrated it from the hadith of Abdullah bin Bakr, Abu Wahb, who said, Sinan bin Rabia narrated to us, from Hadrami, from Anas, and he related it.Its chain is hasan, because of Sinan bin Rabia, about whom there is disagreement, though his hadith is hasan. The discussion of this is set out at length in the Book of Funerals.
