Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Layla reported,

They were with Hudhayfah when he asked for water, and a Magian brought him a drink. When the man placed the cup in his hand, Hudhayfah threw it at him and said, "Had I not forbidden him from this more than once or twice," as if to say that he would not have done this otherwise, "but I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, 'Do not wear silk or brocade, and do not drink from vessels of gold and silver, nor eat from their plates, for they are for them in this world and for us in the Hereafter.'"
