The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate, "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from miserliness, laziness, the most decrepit stage of old age, the punishment of the grave, the trial of the Dajjal, and the trials of life and death."
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يدعو اللهم إني أعوذ بك من البخل والكسل، وأرذل العمر، وعذاب القبر، وفتنة الدجال، وفتنة المحيا والممات.
Bukhari narrated it in the tafsir (4707), and Muslim in the remembrance and supplication (52:2706), both through the route of Harun bin Musa Abu Abdullah al-Awar, who said, "Shuayb bin Habhab narrated to us, from Anas bin Malik," and mentioned it.
