The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever lies about me deliberately, let him take his seat in the Fire."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: من كذب علي متعمدا فليتبوأ بيتا في النار.
Imam Ahmad (4742), Bazzar (Kashf Astar - 210), and Tabarani in al-Awsat (Majma Bahrayn - 296) and in al-Kabir (13153, 13154) narrated it through various routes from Ubaydullah bin Umar, from Abu Bakr bin Salim, from his father (Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar), from his grandfather, who mentioned something similar. The wording given here is that of Tabarani. Ahmad's wording is, "Whoever lies about me will have a house built for him in the Fire." Its chain of transmission is sahih.
