Abdullah bin Umar reported,

The Prophet ﷺ stood among the pillars on the Day of Sacrifice during the Hajj he performed and asked, "What day is this?"They replied, "The Day of Sacrifice."He said, "This is the day of the greatest Hajj."

عن ابن عمر

أن النبي ﷺ وقف يوم النحر بين الجمرات في الحجة التي حج، فقال: أي يوم هذا؟ قالوا: يوم النحر، قال: هذا يوم الحج الأكبر.

His saying, "Freedom from obligation from Allah and His Messenger to those with whom you made a treaty among the polytheists. So travel freely throughout the land for four months and know that you cannot escape Allah and that Allah will disgrace the disbelievers. And a proclamation from Allah and His Messenger to the people on the day of the greater Hajj that Allah is free from the polytheists, and so is His Messenger. So if you repent, it is better for you; but if you turn away, then know that you cannot escape Allah. And give tidings to those who disbelieve of a painful punishment. Except for those with whom you made a treaty among the polytheists and then they did not fail you in anything nor support anyone against you, so complete for them their treaty until their term. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous. And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they repent and establish prayer and give zakat, then let them go their way. Indeed, Allah"
