The Prophet ﷺ said on the day of Badr, "This is Jibreel holding the head of his horse, equipped with the gear of war."
أن النبي ﷺ: قال يوم بدر: هذا جبريل آخذ برأس فرسه عليه أداة الحرب.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Military Expeditions (3995) from Ibrahim bin Musa, Abdul-Wahhab informed us, Khalid narrated to us, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, and he mentioned it.His saying, "Indeed, I will reinforce you with a thousand from the angels, following one another" [Anfal 8:9], means behind every angel there was another angel, as Ibn Abbas said.
