Uqba bin Amir said, I met the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said to me, "Uqba bin Amir, maintain ties with whoever cuts you off, give to whoever deprives you, and pardon whoever wrongs you."
لقيت رسول الله ﷺ، فقال لي: يا عقبة بن عامر، صل من قطعك، وأعط من حرمك، واعف عمن ظلمك.
Ahmad narrated it (17452) from Husayn bin Muhammad, who said, "Ibn Ayyash narrated to us, from Usayd bin Abdul-Rahman Khathami, from Farwa bin Mujahid Lakhmi, from Uqba bin Amir," and he mentioned it in a lengthy account. Its chain is hasan because of Ibn Ayyash, who is Ismail bin Ayyash. His narrations are hasan when he narrates from the Syrians, and this is one of those cases.
