I was with Ibn Abbas when a man came to him and said, "Some people come to us claiming that you have something which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not disclose to the public. Is this true?"Ibn Abbas replied, "Do you not know that Allah Almighty said, 'Messenger, convey what has been revealed to you from your Lord' [Maidah 5:67]? By Allah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left us nothing in inheritance except black ink on white paper."
كنت عند ابن عباس فجاءه رجل فقال له: إن ناسا يأتونا، فيخبرونا أن عندكم شيئا لم يبده رسول الله ﷺ للناس؟ فقال: ألم تعلم أن الله تعالى قال: {يأيها الرسول بلغ ما أنزل إليك من ربك}. والله ما ورثنا رسول الله ﷺ سوداء في بيضاء.

Ibn Abu Hatim reported it in his tafsir, as mentioned in the tafsir of Ibn Kathir (3/150), from Ahmad bin Mansur Ramadi, who said, Saeed bin Sulayman told us, who said, Abbad told us, from Harun bin Antarah, from his father, who said, and then he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Harun bin Antarah, for his hadith is hasan. Ibn Kathir said, "This is a good chain."The companions bore witness in the greatest of gatherings, the sermon of the Farewell Pilgrimage, that the Messenger ﷺ had indeed conveyed what he was commanded to convey.
