Bara bin Azib reported,

The last surah revealed was "Baraah" [Tawbah 9], and the last verse revealed was "They ask you for a ruling. Say, Allah gives you a ruling concerning one who has neither parents nor children" [Nisa 4:176].

His saying, "They ask you for a ruling. Say Allah gives you a ruling concerning Kalalah. If a man dies leaving no child but has a sister, she shall have half of what he left, and he shall inherit from her if she has no child. If there are two sisters, they shall have two-thirds of what he left. And if there are brothers and sisters, men and women, then the male shall have the like of the share of two females. Allah makes clear to you lest you go astray, and Allah is Aleem of all things."
