Anas bin Malik reported,
A man said, "Muhammad, our master and son of our master, our best one and son of our best one."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "People, hold fast to your piety, and do not let Satan seduce you. I am Muhammad bin Abdullah, the servant of Allah and His Messenger. By Allah, I do not wish for you to raise me above the station in which Allah has placed me."

أن رجلا قال: يا محمد! يا سيدنا، وابن سيدنا، وخيرنا، وابن خيرنا، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: يا أيها الناس عليكم بتقواكم، لا يستهوينكم الشيطان، أنا محمد بن عبد الله، عبد الله ورسوله، والله ما أحب أن ترفعوني فوق منزلتي التي أنزلني الله.
Ahmad narrated it (12551), and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (6240), both from the hadith of Hammad bin Salama, from Thabit Bunani, from Anas, who related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.As for His saying, "and His word" [Nisa 4:171], it means that Allah created him by His word "Be."As for His saying, "which He cast to Maryam" [Nisa 4:171], this was through Jibreel, so he became a human being without a father.As for His saying, "and a spirit from Him" [Nisa 4:171], it means a spirit among spirits, and this spirit is attributed to Allah as an honor to it. It has also been said that the spirit here is Jibreel, as in the words of Allah Almighty, "So We sent to her Our spirit, and he appeared to her as a well-formed man" [Maryam 19:17]. Jibreel then breathed into her from his spirit, and thus Isa bin Maryam came to be.Since this is the true nature of Isa 
, namely that he is one among His creations, do not say "three," meaning the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. For Allah Almighty is far above having a son, since a son would share in his father's dominion, whereas Allah is alone and unshared in His dominion, "To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth" [Nisa 4:171].
