Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

Sawda feared that the Prophet ﷺ would divorce her, so she said, "Do not divorce me. Keep me, and give my day to Ayesha." So he did, and then this verse was revealed, "And if a woman fears from her husband ill treatment or neglect, there is no blame upon the two of them if they reach a settlement between themselves, and settlement is better" [Nisa 4:128]. So whatever the two of them agree upon in settlement is permissible.

His saying, "And if a woman fears from her husband contempt or evasion, there is no sin upon them if they make terms of settlement between them, and settlement is best. And present in human souls is stinginess. But if you do good and fear Allah, then indeed Allah is ever of what you do Acquainted"
