Abu Hurairah reported,

The Prophet ﷺ said, "The needy person is not the one who is turned away with a date or two, or a morsel or two. The needy person is the one who restrains himself from begging. Recite, if you wish," meaning the words of Allah Most High, "who do not beg from people importunately" [Baqarah 2:273].

عن أبي هريرة قال

قال النبي ﷺ: ليس المسكين الذي ترده التمرة والتمرتان، ولا اللقمة، ولا اللقمتان، إنما المسكين الذي يتعفف، واقرؤوا إن شئتم- يعني قوله تعالى: {لا يسألون الناس الحافا}.
