She reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about bita, and he said, "Every drink that intoxicates is forbidden."
أنها قالت: سئل رسول الله ﷺ عن البتع؟ فقال: كل شراب أسكر فهو حرام.
Malik narrated it in al-Ashribah (1595) from Ibn Shihab, from Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman, from Ayesha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, that she said, and then he mentioned it. Bukhari narrated it in al-Ashribah (5585) and Muslim in al-Ashribah (2001), both of them by way of Malik with the same wording.
