Some men asked Anas bin Malik about fadikh, and he said, "We had no wine other than this fadikh of yours which you call fadikh. I was standing serving it to Abu Talha, Abu Ayub, and some men from the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in our house, when a man came and asked, 'Has the news reached you?'We said, 'No.'He said, 'Wine has been forbidden.'So Abu Talha said, 'Anas, pour out these jars.'"Anas continued, "They never returned to it nor asked about it after that man's news."
Bukhari related it in the tafsir (4617), and Muslim in the drinks (4:1980), both of them through Ibn Ulaya, who said, Abdul-Aziz bin Suhayb narrated to us, and he mentioned it. The wording given is Muslim's, and Bukhari's wording is similar.
