Tabarani reported it in Kabir (8/303) from Muhammad bin Muhammad al-Tammar al-Basri, who said, Ali bin Abu Talib al-Bazzaz told us, who said, Musa bin Umayr told us, from Shaybi, from Abu Umama, and he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Ali bin Abu Talib al-Bazzaz.Ibn Abu Hatim said in Jarh wa Tadil (6/184), "Ali bin Hammad al-Bazzaz is Ali bin Abu Talib al-Bazzaz al-Basri, Abu Hasan. My father was asked about him, and he said, 'A truthful man from Basra.'"As for Haythami, he said in Majma (1/167), "It contains Ali bin Abu Talib al-Bazzaz, whom Yahya bin Main and Ibn Adi declared daif."I say, Haythami relied on Mizan for Ibn Main's daif grading of him, even though it states, "He is nothing." Scholars have understood Ibn Main's statement "laysa bi-shay" in two ways. The first is that he is daif, and the second is that his hadiths are few, as I explained in my book Dirasat fi Jarh wa Tadil. So Ibn Main's statement here should be understood in the second sense, so that it agrees with what Abu Hatim said. As for Ibn Adi, he did not say anything about him, but rather mentioned two munkar hadiths for him, and this is not one of them.
