The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us one day while we were reciting the Quran. He said, "Praise be to Allah. The Book of Allah is one, and among you are the red, among you are the white, and among you are the black. Recite it before there come people who will straighten it as an arrow is straightened, seeking its reward in this world rather than deferring it to the next."
خرج علينا رسول الله ﷺ يوما ونحن نقترى، فقال: الحمد الله، كتاب الله واحد، وفيكم الأحمر، وفيكم الأبيض، وفيكم الأسود، اقرؤوا قبل أن يقرأه أقوام يقيمونه كما يقوم السهم، يتعجل أجره ولا يتأجله.
Abu Dawud (831), Ahmad (22865), and Ibn Hibban (760) all narrated it through routes from Bakr bin Sawada, from Wafa bin Shurayh Sadafi Himyari, from Sahl bin Saad, who related it.Wafa bin Shurayh had two people narrate from him, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators. That is why Ibn Hajar said in Taqrib, "Acceptable," meaning if corroborated, and this is indeed the case here.Ibn Abu Shayba narrated it in his Musnad (98), and Abd bin Humayd (466), both from Ubaydullah bin Musa, from Musa bin Ubayda, from his brother Abdullah bin Ubayda, from Sahl bin Saad, who related something similar.Musa bin Ubayda is Rabadhi, and he is daif.The hadith, through both chains together, rises to the level of hasan.
