The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever claims to have seen a dream that he did not actually see will be compelled to tie a knot between two grains of barley, and he will never be able to do so. Whoever eavesdrops on a people's conversation while they dislike it or try to flee from him will have molten lead poured into his ears on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever fashions an image will be punished and required to breathe life into it, but he will never be able to do so."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: من تحلم بحلم لم يره كلف أن يعقد بين شعيرتين، ولن يفعل، ومن استمع إلى حديث قوم وهم له كارهون أو يفرون منه، صب في أذنيه الآنك يوم القيامة، ومن صور صورة عذب وكلف أن ينفخ فيها وليس بنافخ.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Dream Interpretation (7042) from Ali bin Abdullah, who said, we were told by Sufyan, from Ayub, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, and he mentioned it. Bukhari then said following it, Sufyan said, Ayub connected it for us. And Qutayba said, we were told by Abu Awana, from Qatada, from Ikrima, from Abu Hurairah as his own statement, "Whoever lies about his dream." And Shuba said, from Abu Hashim Rumani, I heard Ikrima say that Abu Hurairah said as his own statement, "Whoever depicts an image, or claims a false dream, or eavesdrops." We were told by Ishaq, who said, we were told by Khalid, from Khalid, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, who said, "Whoever eavesdrops, or claims a false dream, or depicts an image," similarly. Hisham followed him in this, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, as his own statement. End of it.Muslim narrated it in the Book of Clothing (100:2110) through the route of Nadr bin Anas, from Ibn Abbas, as a raised hadith, restricting it to the part about depicting images.
