The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Among the worst of lies is for a man to claim his eyes saw what they did not see."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: من أفرى الفرى أن يري عينيه ما لم تر.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Interpretation of Dreams (7043), from Ali bin Muslim, who said, Abdul-Samad narrated to us, who said, Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah bin Dinar, the freedman of Ibn Umar, narrated to us, from his father, from Ibn Umar, and he mentioned it.Ahmad also narrated it (5998), from Harun bin Maruf, who said, Abdullah bin Wahb narrated to us, who said, Haywa said, Abu Uthman told me that Abdullah bin Dinar told him, from Abdullah bin Umar, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The most fabricated of lies is that of a man who claims descent from someone other than his father, and the most fabricated of lies is that of a man who claims his eyes saw in a dream what they did not see, and that of a man who alters the boundary markers of the land."
