The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Nothing transmits disease to another. Nothing transmits disease to another," repeating it three times.An Arabi stood up and asked, "Messenger of Allah, a sore appears on the lip of a camel, or on its rump, and then the whole herd becomes scabbed with mange."He remained silent for a while, then said, "What gave the disease to the first one? There is no contagion, no Safar, and no evil omen from owls. Allah created every soul and prescribed its life, its death, its afflictions, and its provision."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: لا يعدي شيء شيئا، لا يعدي شيء شيئا، ثلاثا، قال: فقام أعرابي، فقال: يا رسول الله، إن النقبة تكون بمشفر البعير، أو بعجبه، فتشتمل الإبل جربا، قال: فسكت ساعة، ثم قال: ما أعدى الأول، لا عدوى، ولا صفر، ولا هامة، خلق الله كل نفس، فكتب حياتها وموتها والمصيباتها ورزقها.
Ahmad narrated it (8343) from Hashim, who said, Muhammad bin Talha narrated to us, from Abdullah bin Shubruma, from Abu Zura bin Amr bin Jareer, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it.Abu Yaala (6112) and Firyabi in Qadar (214) also narrated it, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (6119), all of them by way of Abdullah bin Shubruma with his chain, in a similar manner.His words, "the patch," refer to the first sign that appears of mange.His words, "the lip," refer to the camel's lip, just as a person has a lip.His words, "the tailbone," refer to the base of the tail.
