The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us and said, "May Allah brighten the face of a man who hears my words and conveys them, for many a bearer of knowledge is not himself a person of understanding, and many a bearer of knowledge carries it to one who understands it better than he does.Three things over which the heart of a believer harbors no malice: sincerity of action for the sake of Allah, offering sincere counsel to those in authority, and remaining with the community of the Muslims."
خطبنا رسول الله ﷺ فقال: نصر الله وجه امرئ سمع مقالتي فحملها، فرب حامل فقه غير فقيه، ورب حامل فقه إلى من هو أفقه منه. ثلاث لا يغل عليهن قلب مؤمن: إخلاص العمل الله، ومناصحة ولاة الأمر، ولزوم جماعة المسلمين.
Hakim (1/88) reported it from Abu Abbas Muhammad bin Yaqub, more than once, who said, Ibrahim bin Bakr Marwazi narrated to us at Bayt al-Maqdis, Abdullah bin Bakr Sahmi narrated to us, Hatim bin Abu Sughayrah narrated to us, from Simak bin Harb, from Numan bin Bashir, who said, then he related it.Hakim said, "And on this subject there are narrations from a group of the companions, among them Umar, Uthman, Ali, Abdullah bin Masud, Muaz bin Jabal, Ibn Umar, Ibn Abbas, Abu Hurairah, and Anas bin Malik, and others besides them, several in number. The hadith of Numan bin Bashir meets the standard of sahih."He also said, following the hadith of Numan bin Bashir, "Muslim relied, in the Sahih Musnad, on the hadith of Simak bin Harb from Numan bin Bashir." He then mentioned two hadiths other than this one.I say, its chain is hasan, because of the discussion surrounding Simak bin Harb, except that his hadith is hasan.
