The Prophet ﷺ permitted the use of ruqyah for every venomous creature's sting.
رخص النبي ﷺ الرقية من كل ذي حمه.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Medicine (5741), and Muslim in the Book of Greetings (52:2193), both through the route of Sulayman Shaybani, who said, Abdul-Rahman bin Aswad narrated to us from his father, who said, I asked Ayesha about ruqya for hummah, and he mentioned it.His saying, "hummah," with a light pronunciation, means poison, and it is applied to the scorpion's sting by association, because the poison comes out from it. Khattabi said, hummah refers to every venomous creature, whether a snake or a scorpion.
