I fell gravely ill in Mecca, so the Prophet ﷺ came to visit me. He placed his hand on my forehead, then wiped his hands over my face and stomach, and said, "O Allah, heal Saad and complete his migration for him."I have continued to feel its coolness on my liver, as it seems to me, until this very moment.
تشكيت بمكة شكوى شديدة فجاءني النبي ﷺ يعودني فوضع يده على جبهتي، ثم مسح يديه على وجهي وبطني، ثم قال: اللهم اشف سعدا، وأتمم له هجرته فمازلت أجد برده على كبدي فيما يحال إلى حتى الساعة.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of the Sick (5659) from Makki bin Ibrahim, who said, Juayd informed us, from Ayesha bint Saad, and mentioned it. Muslim narrated it in the Book of Wills (8/1628) through other routes, from three of Saad's children, all of whom related it from their father, that the Prophet ﷺ visited Saad in Makkah to check on him during his illness, and Saad wept. The Prophet asked, "What makes you weep?" He said, "I fear that I might die in the land from which I emigrated, just as Saad bin Khawlah died." The Prophet ﷺ said, "O Allah, heal Saad. O Allah, heal Saad." three times, and then he mentioned the hadith in full, and it is recorded in the Book of Wills.The three children of Saad are Amir bin Saad, Musab bin Saad, and Ayesha bint Saad. The hadith of Ayesha bint Saad was not narrated by Muslim, it was narrated by Bukhari alone.
