A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "I have a slave girl who is our servant and the one who draws water for our irrigation. I have intercourse with her, but I dislike that she becomes pregnant."He replied, "Practice withdrawal with her if you wish, but whatever has been decreed for her will surely come to her."The man stayed away for a while, then returned to him and said, "The girl has become pregnant."He said, "I already told you that whatever has been decreed for her would come to her."
أن رجلا أتى رسول الله ﷺ فقال: إن لي جارية هي خادمنا وسانيتنا، وأنا أطوف عليها، وأنا أكره أن تحمل؟ فقال: اعزل عنها إن شئت فإنه سيأتيها ما قدر لها. فلبث الرجل، ثم أتاه، فقال: إن الجارية قد حبلت؟ فقال: قد أخبرتك أنه سأتيها ما قدر لها.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Marriage (1439) from Ahmad bin Abdullah bin Yunus, who said, Zuhayr narrated to us, Abu Zubayr informed us, from Jabir bin Abdullah, who mentioned it.In another version, "That will never prevent something Allah has willed to happen." He said, then the man came and said, "Messenger of Allah, the slave girl I mentioned to you has become pregnant." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I am the slave of Allah and His messenger."In a version found in Ibn Majah (89), through another route, from Salim bin Abu Jaad, from Jabir, it contains, "Nothing is destined for a soul except that it will come to be."In the Sahihayn, Bukhari in the Book of Marriage (5209), and Muslim, both from the hadith of Amr, from Ataa, from Jabir, who said, We used to practice withdrawal during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while the Quran was being revealed. Sufyan said, Had it been something to be forbidden, the Quran would have forbidden it to us.In another version, We used to practice withdrawal during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and this reached the Prophet of Allah ﷺ, yet he did not forbid us.
