The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the people of Sham become corrupt, there is no good left in you. A group of my nation will continue to be granted victory, unharmed by those who forsake them, until the Hour comes."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: إذا فسد أهل الشام فلا خير فيكم، لا تزال طائفة من أمتي منصورين لا يضرهم من خذلهم حتى تقوم الساعة.
Narrated by Tirmidhi (2192), Ibn Majah (6), and Ahmad (15596), and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (61, 7302), all of them through various routes from Shubah, from Muawiya bin Qurra bin Iyas, from his father, who related it. Ibn Majah's version does not mention the people of Syria. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan sahih hadith."
