It is reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "O Allah, bless us in our Sham. O Allah, bless us in our Yemen."The people said, "And in our Najd?"He said, "O Allah, bless us in our Sham. O Allah, bless us in our Yemen."They said, "Messenger of Allah, and in our Najd?"I think he said the third time, "There will be earthquakes and tribulations, and from there the horn of Satan will emerge."
Bukhari narrated it in the Fitan (7094) from Ali bin Abdullah, who said, Azhar bin Saad related to us, from Ibn Awn, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, and he related it as mentioned. What is meant by Najd in the hadith is Iraq, as is stated in other hadiths. Khattabi and others explained it this way. More details will follow in the Fitan. The Prophet ﷺ did not say regarding Syria, "O Allah, bless us in our Syria, O Allah, bless us in our Syria, O Allah, bless us in our Syria," three times. Rather, the repetition came from the questioner asking again, so some scholars assumed that the Prophet ﷺ prayed for Syria three times, but that is not the case, as is clear from the context.
