The Prophet ﷺ said, "Adam and Musa, peace be upon them, debated with each other. Musa said to Adam, 'You are Adam, whom Allah created with His own hand, into whom He breathed of His spirit,'" — I think he said, "'and He commanded the angels and they prostrated to you. Did you bring your descendants out of Paradise?'Adam replied, 'Do you find it written upon me?'Musa said, 'Yes.'So Adam outargued Musa."
Bazzar reported it in Kashf Astar (2148), from Amr bin Ali, who said, Abu Muawiya narrated to us, who said, Amash narrated to us, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah or Abu Saeed, and he mentioned the hadith. This is how Abu Muawiya related it with doubt about the narrator's identity. Others reported it from Amash, from Abu Salih, without doubt, as being from the musnad of Abu Hurairah. Likewise, Fadl bin Musa reported it from Amash without doubt, as being from the musnad of Abu Saeed, as will follow.
